Maral Melkonian

Maral is a friendly and warm psychologist who endeavours to make therapy a space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood.

She believes that each client is unique, and works with clients in a collaborative way to explore their challenges and concerns.

Maral adopts an evidence-based approach to supporting clients in reaching their personal goals and making meaningful changes in their lives.

Maral completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. Maral has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults across a range of clinical settings, including hospitals, universities, and community settings.

Maral practices from a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) framework, and draws from other therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy (ST), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She works with adults, adolescents, and children ages 8 and older.

In addition to her clinical work, Maral has a keen interest in clinical research and has collaborated on research in the area of anxiety and related disorders. She is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Technology Sydney where her PhD thesis explores innovative approaches for the remote treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Maral offers appointments on Mondays and Fridays. After hours appointments are available.
